Les Amis emerged from the narrative of a hitchhiking adventure spanning from Lisbon, Portugal, to Sanremo, Italy. Embarking on this journey with a friend, our objective was to alter our pace, and conceptually, the project seeks to reflect the introspective manner in which the journey unfolded. In a world where speed often prevails, we seldom pause to truly observe individuals in their everyday existence. This project endeavors to convey the importance of halting, of truly listening, both to the world around us and to our inner selves. Through a combination of photography and a short film, Les Amis endeavors to impart the message that by slowing down, we open ourselves up to deeper connections and understanding—both externally and internally.
